Lori Ray leads the cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing
efforts at Bend Research Pharmaceutical Process Development (BRPPD). She
and her colleagues work together to provide high-quality pharmaceutical
goods that support clinical and regulatory studies and to reduce new
technologies to practice in a current good manufacturing practices (cGMP)
environment. BRPPD performs all of the classic cGMP functions, as well as a strong
technology-transfer function.
Built in 2002 to meet the FDA’s cGMP
standards for pharmaceutical manufacture, BRPPD contains 10 processing
suites and a cGMP laboratory. BRPPD
is an important extension of Bend Research’s capabilities since the
development of new
delivery technologies can be streamlined from
inception through scale-up to the commercial scale. Products manufactured
at BRPPD can then be transferred for production at commercial sites. |
