Super Bowl
NFL Week #21
Essential Practice Notes from Friday

Giants WR Plaxico Burress missed reps for the third straight day and on Friday was officially listed as questionable. Burress missed practice Wednesday due to his nagging ankle injury. Thursday he sat out due to soreness in his left knee. As of now, Burress is still expected to start in the Super Bowl. If the Pats go to a man-to-man scheme, Burress will become the first read. If New England goes zone, the Giants will need to lean on Amani Toomer.
---

The Giants stud DE Osi Umenyiora was resting Friday but he remains probable. When New England has the ball, the Giants need to pressure Tom Brady. The good news for the Giants is they have an outstanding pair of defense ends in Umenyiora and Michael Strahan. If anyone can get pressure on Brady, it’s the Giants.
---

New England is fairly healthy. QB Tom Brady (right shoulder) is fully expected to start as normal and New England’s #3 WR Jabar Gaffney (shoulder) was taken off the team injury report Friday.
