Pharmaceutical Equipment Design and Manufacture
Driven by new technology needs, diverse teams at Bend
Research's pilot facility work together to modify existing pharmaceutical equipment or to design
new equipment. For several new technology efforts, teams have designed
equipment from the ground up—performing process modeling and designing, fabricating,
testing, and refining equipment for scale-up at Bend Research’s cGMP
facility (BRPPD) and at other customer facilities. The interaction of
chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, machinists, welders, custom fabricators,
and designers provides continuity from understanding the science behind a new technology to the final manufacturing of equipment.
